Trumpeter, composer and arranger Mike Sailors is a driving force on the American jazz scene, recognised for his imaginative writing and vibrant large ensemble projects. His nonet blends tight ensemble playing with adventurous improvisation, creating music that is rooted in the jazz tradition while embracing contemporary influences. Together, Sailors’ richly crafted arrangements and Zuraitis’ captivating artistry promise an evening of exceptional musicianship, combining inventive originals, fresh interpretations and the infectious energy of world-class jazz performance.
